SWITCHBOARD THERMal imagingThermal imaging is a process undertaken to prevent asset loss through non - intrusive monitoring of electrical systems. A thermal imaging camera is used to scan and photograph switchboards and mechanical equipment under normal operating conditions to detect any abnormalities and temperature rises in electrical components. This has been proven to reduce the effects of equipment failure and economic loss as when faults are detected, a planned shutdown or scheduled maintenance can be conducted. A Thermal scan is recommended to be carried out annually, although scans can be carried out more frequently depending upon the environment of the electrical installation. A detailed report specifying all irregularities that were found during the inspection, along with recommendations for rectification, will be included for the customer to review. |
